Thing about “resources” – a personal post
I don’t respect people who call others “resources”. A person is way more complex than a chair or a computer. People have feelings, there are social interactions between them. To make a team it takes time and skill to make it happen. Moving people around against their will is bringing nothing good. There are even managers who created a team and are working with them for years and still don’t know these people’s names. On top of that I hear managers say “four resources here, three here, we need a total of sixteen resources for this project”. It’s at least rude and disrespectful. I will go further – this is bringing a person down to being a number. Think about it – where did that happen massively last time? You can probably guess from the picture. In Nazi concentration camps.

Yes, people have feelings and if you are a leader you need to take care about them especially when you are trying to build culture of trust and responsibility in the organization.
Strong but closer to true then most people think.
+1 Kate. I promised myself that next time somebody calls me a resource in a email addressed to me I will report it in HR as mobbing…
By the power of Goodwin’s Law you hereby loose this argument
